Crawlin'

A low rumble pulses through the pavement, a symphony of sirens and distant shouts. I shuffle down the alleyway, keepin' to the shadows, my heart thumps like a drum solo in my chest.

  • The air is thick with exhaust and the tang of stale beer. A stray cat hisss at a dumpster, its eyes gleamthrough the darkness.

Got my boots planted on the pavement, a lone figure in a sea of faces. But tonight, I sense something different. A change in the air. A shift in the shadows.
